The email requested comment on the following: Several sources, including individuals in Montevideo who interacted with Daniel Aritonang before his death in 2021, along with data collected on ship movements, show that on March 2, 2021, Daniel Aritonang, an Indonesian man suffering from the disease beriberi, was transferred from the Zhen Fa 7 to the Marlin. The Marlin’s crew brought Aritonang by skiff to the port of Montevideo, Uruguay, dumped him there, and motored away. The Marlin is owned by Laskaridis Shipping Co Ltd.
