The email outlined supply chain connections between Hottlet 'epic' squid products retailed by Piscopo's and the Chishan Group. Hottlet squid products are supplied by Shandong Haidu and Rongcheng Runtong - two Chishan processors. The Chishan Group has ties to illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing and the use of Uyghur forced labor. The email asked for comment.
