Letter mailed to Wei Sun, President of Three Rabbitts LLC.

The letter said that a supplier in the company's supply chain, Rongcheng Guangrun Aquatic Food, is owned by Shandong Bodelong Group. Bodelong Group vessels have fished illegally in the South Atlantic and the South Pacific Oceans, and have disembarked at least two dead deckhands in the Port of Montevideo, in 2016 and 2019. One vessel also disembarked an ill deckhand in Montevideo in 2020 who had symptoms of beriberi, a sign of severe neglect. The letter asked for comment.

The Outlaw Ocean Project sent a letter, saying: "Our director Ian Urbina wrote to you in July 2023 regarding the findings of our investigation into abuses in China’s distant-water squid fleet. We are writing to you now to bring new findings of our ongoing investigation into the use of forced labor in China’s seafood processing industry to your attention, as they relate to your supply chain. Trade records show that Three Rabbits has imported multiple shipments of squid products from a company called Donggang Jinhui Foodstuff Co. Ltd. We have uncovered evidence that Donggang Jinhui has used North Korean labor after the December 2019 deadline for the repatriation of overseas North Korean workers required under United Nations Security Council sanctions. This evidence shows North Korean labor at Donggang Jinhui’s plant in Liaoning, China, as recently as 2023. While we understand that you may not be aware of the above issues, we want to ask if you have any comment or statement in response to this letter?"
