Email sent to the contact address for Shandong Baoma.
The email gave details of illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing and human rights issues concerning vessels owned by Shandong Baoma, particularly the Wei Yu 18. One Wei Yu 18 crew member died in September 2019 after falling ill and being refused medical treatment for over two weeks, and that there were delays in providing healthcare for at least three other crew members who were sick. The investigation also found other indicators of forced labor among crew onboard that vessel. The email asked for comment.
